System in the Human body

These 11 major organ systems of human body are:-

1. Circulatory or cardiovascular system.
2. Respiratory system.
3. Nervous system.
4. Skeletal system
5. Digestive system or gastrointestinal system.
6. Reproductive system (female and male)
7. Muscular system.
8. Lymphatic system.
9. Urinary system or excretory system.
10. Integumentary system.
11. Endocrine system.

1. cardiovascular system or circulatory system:-
The heart and blood are major parts of the circulatory system. All components contribute to oxygen and nutrient delivery throughout your body.

■The circulatory system consists of four major components:

●Heart
●Arteries
●Veins
●Blood

2. Respiratory system :-
The respiratory system is the network of organs and tissues that help you breathe. It includes your airways, lungs and blood vessels. The muscles that power your lungs are also part of the respiratory system. These parts work together to move oxygen throughout the body and clean out waste gases like carbon dioxide.

■The 7 parts of respiratory system:-
●Nose.
●Mouth.
●Throat (pharynx)
●Voice box (larynx)
●Windpipe (trachea)
●Large airways (bronchi)
●Small airways (bronchioles)
●Lungs.

3. Nervous system :-
Your nervous system is your body's command center. Originating from your brain, it controls your movements, thoughts and automatic responses to the world around you. It also controls other body systems and processes, such as digestion, breathing and sexual development (puberty).

■ Main parts of the nervous system are:-
The nervous system includes the brain, spinal cord, and a complex network of nerves. This system sends messages back and forth between the brain and the body. The brain is what controls all the body's functions.

4. Skeletal system :-
The skeletal system is a network of many different parts that work together to help you move. The main part of your skeletal system consists of your bones, hard structures that create your body's framework — the skeleton. There are 206 bones in an adult human skeleton.

•Types of skeletal system:-
There are five types of bones in the human skeletal system: long, short, flat, irregular, and sesamoid.

•The human skeleton is made up of 206 bones, including bones of the:

>Skull – including the jaw bone

>Spine – cervical, thoracic and lumbar

>vertebrae, sacrum and tailbone (coccyx)

>Chest – ribs and breastbone (sternum)

>Arms – shoulder blade (scapula), collar bone (clavicle), humerus, radius and ulna

>Hands – wrist bones (carpals), metacarpals and phalanges

>Pelvis – hip bones

>Legs – thigh bone (femur), kneecap (patella), shin bone (tibia) and fibula

>Feet – tarsals, metatarsals and phalanges.

5. Digestion system or Gastrointestinal system:-

•What is the digestive system?
The digestive system is made up of the digestive tract and other organs that help the body break down and absorb food. It is a long, twisting tube that starts at the mouth and goes through the oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine and anus.

•What are the Organs in digestive system:-
The GI tract consists of the oral cavity, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, and anal canal. The accessory organs include the teeth, tongue, and glandular organs such as salivary glands, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas.

6. Reproductive system:-

•The male reproductive system includes the testes (which produce sperm), penis, epididymis, vas deferens, ejaculatory ducts and urethra.

•The female reproductive system consists of the ovaries (which produce eggs or oocytes), fallopian tubes, uterus, cervix, vagina and vulva.

What is the main function of reproductive system?

To produce egg and sperm cells. To transport and sustain these cells. To nurture the developing fetus. To produce hormones.

7. Muscular system:-
The muscular system is composed of specialized cells called muscle fibers. Their predominant function is contractibility. Muscles, attached to bones or internal organs and blood vessels, are responsible for movement. Nearly all movement in the body is the result of muscle contraction.

•What are the 3 main muscle systems?

The three main types of muscle include skeletal, smooth and cardiac. The brain, nerves and skeletal muscles work together to cause movement – this is collectively known as the neuromuscular system.

•What are the functions of muscular system:-
The 5 main functions of the muscular system are movement, support, protection, heat generation, and blood circulation.

8. Lymphatic system:-
The lymphatic system is a network of tissues, vessels and organs that work together to move a colorless, watery fluid called lymph back into your circulatory system (your bloodstream). Some 20 liters of plasma flow through your body's arteries and smaller arteriole blood vessels and capillaries every day.

• What are the functions of lymphatic system:-

The lymphatic system is our body's 'sewerage system'. It maintains fluid levels in our body tissues by removing all fluids that leak out of our blood vessels. The lymphatic system is important for the optimal functioning of our general and specific immune responses.

9. Urinary system or excretory system:-

The urinary system, also known as the urinary tract or renal system, consists of the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and the urethra. The purpose of the urinary system is to eliminate waste from the body, regulate blood volume and blood pressure, control levels of electrolytes and metabolites, and regulate blood pH.

•What is the main organ of the urinary system?

The kidneys form the urine and account for the other functions attributed to the urinary system. The ureters carry the urine away from kidneys to the urinary bladder, which is a temporary reservoir for the urine.

•What are the 5 main parts of the urinary system?

The organs of the urinary system include the kidneys, renal pelvis, ureters, bladder and urethra.

10. Integumentary system:-

•What are the 5 parts of the integumentary system?

The integumentary system includes the epidermis, dermis, hypodermis, associated glands, hair, and nails. In addition to its barrier function, this system performs many intricate functions such as body temperature regulation, cell fluid maintenance, synthesis of Vitamin D, and detection of stimuli.

•What are the 7 functions of the integumentary system?

We have described what does the skin do (7 functions). It is a complex organ that performs a variety of crucial functions, including protection, sensation, regulation, absorption, excretion, vitamin D synthesis, and aesthetic and social functions.

11. Endocrine system:-
Endocrine systems, also referred to as hormone systems, are found in all mammals, birds, fish, and many other species. The endocrine system consists of:

•Glands located throughout the body;
•Hormones made by the glands and released into the bloodstream or the fluid surrounding cells; and
Receptors in various organs and tissues that recognize and respond to the hormones.

•What is endocrine system and its function?

The endocrine system is a complex network of glands and organs. It uses hormones to control and coordinate your body's metabolism, energy level, reproduction, growth and development, and response to injury, stress, and mood.

•What are the 5 major endocrine organs?

The glands that make up the endocrine system produce chemical messengers called hormones that travel through the blood to other parts of the body. Important endocrine glands include the pituitary, thyroid, parathyroid, thymus, and adrenal glands.
